6 Best Tips For Your Blogger SEO

REGISTER YOUR BUSINESS ON GOOGLE

As a local business owner, setting-up a Google Map Listing should be an important part of your online marketing strategies because;

• It is the quickest root to get found in Google Search results and Google Map
• It is the most effective way since Google Map is FREE, which make it ideal for your business if you are just starting out.

If you want everyone online & local people to be aware of your business, the best way to do that is to register your business on Google My Business. Being here means you own a local business or you want to start up a business and you want a lot of customers to be aware of you as possible.

Your potential customers will be able to see helpful details about your business when they search on Google by registering your business with Google. The Google Search results will display specific details like your business opening times, website, contact numbers and the location of your business. You’ll also be able to post offers and updates straight to Google in order to help customers come to you.

Step 1. Sign In To Google

You will be required to sign in to Google to use this service. Use your Gmail account to sign in if you already have one but if you don’t, you can sign up for Gmail (It’s free!).

Step 2. Go To Google My Business Page

By now, you must have signed in to Google, go to the Google My Business page at www.google.com/business or click here

Now let’s go practical!!!

Click the “Start Now” button. You will be redirected to the sign up form where you’ll input some basic information about your business.

Step 3. Register Your Business On Google My Business

You’ll see a screen similar to the one above. You will be required to fill in the following details in order to complete this step.

It will ask you for your:

• Business name

• Business address

• Delivery area (if you deliver)

• Business category (Gifts and Flowers, Pets, Vehicle Sales etc)

• Contact details

• Website/blog address (if you want your business to get instant verification try and get one if you don't have any)

Step 4. Get Verified

At this point, you will be presented with 5 options for verification. Note: this options have limitations and you may only see one option for verification in your own case. Below are the options for verification:

• Postcard

• Phone

• Email

• Bulk verification

• Instant verification

As said earlier, not all of these options will be visible to you but just pick the one most convenient to you. It might take 4 days, more or less to receive a postcard with your unique verification code. However, you can also get instant verification if your blog or website is already verified by Google Search Console (you need to consider creating your own blog/website because mine was verified instantly). If you are not verified instantly, wait till the card arive. The card has a unique code on it and a link. After receiving your card, go back to the link and inputting the code and hit final button. Boom your business is finally registered on Google.

As simple as that!!!

Additional Thoughts

You’ve finally gotten your business registered with Google My Business. It doesn’t end there take a look and see what you can add to your listing. Adding product pictures has been shown to increase customer interaction (not everyone is ready to read your attractive business description: photos speak a thousand words) and make sure your contact details and opening hours are up to date.
